Enrico Della Torre Paintings and a Selection of 20th Century Design Pieces
Our new show features a series of works of Enrico Della Torre, a contemporary artist based in Valencia, accompanied with a selection of 20th century furniture by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Gerrit Rietveld and Jean Prouvé.
We are a gallery specializing in 20th century design and contemporary art. In this new exhibition we combined the works of a young contemporary artist Enrico Della Torre with selected furniture pieces by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Gerrit Rietveld, Jean Prouvé, Pierre Chapo, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Peter Johansson and Bernard-Albin Gras. White and ample space of the gallery filled with the artworks perfectly reflects stylistic line of Dada Studios. Influenced by the 20th century rationalism - specifically French design - pure forms, clean geometry and the search for beauty in the essential. The expressive vision of Enrico is an exploration of space in the painting, an attempt to bring to the limits its capacity to be occupied with elements. His artworks are born from geometric compositions, characteristic of his architectural vision, so close to the leading 20th century ideas. During his process the works often end up in monochrome black surfaces, revealing the inner structure of the basic materials he uses and creating an immersive experience. Architectonic sense of proportions, re-evaluation of simple materials links the works of Enrico with a modernist line of thought for its clarity, sobriety and chase for new optimal forms. The pure, bold monochrome paintings of Enrico in the blank space of the gallery are in a constant dialogue with timeless designs echoing their pursuit for ultimate functionality.
