Pantings by Keith Holmes in this show feature the “Beauty in Surburbia” subjects that Holmes has returned to time and time again. A combination of the objects and landscapes from our surroundings and the emotions attached.
Darnley FineArt will inaugurate the start of the Autumn season with the exhibition of paintings by the artist Keith Holmes.
Born in Richmond, North Yorkshire, Keith studied fine art at West Surrey College of Art and Design before qualifying as a paper conservator at Camberwell School of Design. In 1977 he was visting professor on the conservation studies at postgraduate level.
In the 1970’s and 80’s Keith ran his own Private Press, producing limited edition books which he printed and illustrated and bound by hand.
With a passion for painting Keith Holmes has produced a huge portfolio of works that are now part of major galleries and museums collections.
The exhibition was entitled 'Beauty in Surburbia' to represent not only the power of man made objects, but also to symbolize the intrinsic beauty they can display.
