Born in 1925 in Kingston, NY, Carol Summers is often described as the best printmaker in the world. He is represented in virtually every museum’s contemporary print collection in the United States. The artist is fascinated with the landscape and its spectacular changes of season, its regal mountains and angry seas. These landscapes are featured in his woodcuts in an abstract form of bold color. Summers is a recipient of the Guggenheim, Tiffany and Fulbright fellowships.
