Following last year’s Volta Photo 1965-85 exhibition, the first show of Sory Sanlé's work outside of West Africa, we will have six previously unseen images availalble at Photo London 2018. These offer a preview of Sanlé’s night-time work, which will be shown at the gallery in early 2019. A major exhibition of vintage Sory Sanlé prints is currently on show at Art Institute of Chicago.
We will also have a selection of work from Mario Carnicelli's American Voyage series, which will be the first time the that the work is presented at an art fair. Mario will be present to sign copies of his new book, American Voyage, between 2 and 3pm on both Friday 18th and 3.30 and 4.30pm Saturday 19th.
Marking the 70th anniversary of his epic 1948 trip, we will have a selection of Magnum-founder George Rodger’s work from the Sudan that documents the Nuba and Latuka tribes.
We will also have four previously unseen Hunter Barnes prints from his forthcoming book and exhibition, Off The Strip, shot in Las Vegas in early 2017. Off the Strip will show at the gallery this September.
