Gerald Deweer (Deweer Gallery): “There are quite a few sculptures by Balkenhol in Belgian private collections and the work is both contemporary and accessible. Balkenhol is a real crowd puller and ideal for Knokke-Heist to position as a municipality supporting art. Knokke-Heist, MDZ Art Gallery and Deweer Gallery will present work from private collections and available sculptures from Deweer Gallery. Especially for this occasion the artist will also make new work, such as a new bronze edition.”
