The 13th Annual Fete
This July, Diehl Gallery presents the 13th Annual Fete, an exhibition of the newest work from 36 gallery artists who are actively shaping the meaning of “contemporary art” in the 21st Century.
Since its beginning The Fete has aimed to show the best and newest work of our gallery artists. Each artist brings a unique story and point of view to the world of contemporary art. Through this exhibition Diehl Gallery seeks to promote a continued dialogue about the place of art in modern society. Is it merely for decoration? Or is there something more that art can give us if we look hard enough.
This summer the Fete will feature new work from Kate Hunt, acclaimed sculptor, whose work is part of the Amangani’s permanent collection, and whose work has been exhibited in museums and private collections across the country. We will present the newest piece in Douglas Schneider’s series on bison. Schneider’s work can be found in the permanent collection of the SF MOMA, as well as several prominent public and private collections. Hunt Slonem will continue to engage and delight us with his whimsical rabbits. Slonem’s Neo-Expressionist style contrasts with the bright happy colors he chooses for his creations creating a subtle juxtaposition between subject, color, and process.
Join us this July to celebrate 13 years of art and achievement.
