At this year’s Munich HIGHLIGHTS, Drawing Room is pleased to show a selection of nonrepresentational works on paper by the artist KATHARINA HINSBERG (* 1967 in Karlsruhe), in which the mesh of lines is “plotted” by cuts in the paper. A single sculptural wire work with tiny red glass beads from the new work series ‘ppp’ accompanies and expands on the abstract nature of the drawings.

The themes of the drawings, produced between 2015 and 2021, belong to different groups of works, namely Ajouré, Gitter | Linien (Grid | Lines), Lacunae, Perceiden, Netz (Net) and Schraffen (Hachure), which inspire …
