We live in a world where wars, political, ethnic, religious or gender-based persecutions, violence are often experienced and witnessed. This is a Social Trauma. These endless traumatic events are deeply affecting the lives of all of us, and also pose a great threat to our spiritual integrity. Throughout the history, art has played a very important role in the restoration of social traumas. One of the most basic missions of art; is to convey complex emotions to the societies with an unprecedented aesthetic presentation, combining creative spirit and intelligence. One of the most basic missions of art is to convey the complex emotions to the societies with a unique aesthetic presentation by combining creative spirit and intelligence. Although the world population is made up of different views, cultures and traditions, the common stake of being human is the emotions we feel and share. Art; Is the only Universal Language that unifies us without distinction of race, religion, genre, color. Whether we take the creative side of art or exist as a viewer, in both cases we share the healing, enlightening, educational, inspirational, motivating and most importantly unifying power of art.
In this exhibition; we wanted to show a hopeful, positive stance and emphasize the enchanting and therapeutic power of art that is conceptual and makes people think by opening a bracket against the living Social Trauma.
The artists in the “No-Prescription” exhibition produced their works freely, without being dependent on any concept or fiction.
To produce art, to observe art, to integrate with art is a spiritual wealth, a purification, and a mental meditation. In the face of social traumas, art works as a medicinal remedy for society, and it is also NO-PRESCRIPTION.
