Elisabetta Cipriani – Jewellery by Contemporary Artists is delighted to present at Design Miami a unique solo exhibition with renowned Italian artist Giorgio Vigna. Cipriani works with internationally acclaimed contemporary artists to create one of a kind wearable sculptures made from precious materials.
Segments of Light is a new series of wearable art works composed by various distinct forms in the shape of earrings, brooches, bracelets and rings charged with symbolic meaning. This new body of work is made of 18 kt yellow gold, oxidized silver, copper and diamonds.
The segment is the starting point of the creation of these works; it moves, multiplies, draws paths and it expands in imaginary universes that dialogue with natural forms. “Substance and form begin to emerge: micro and macrocosms intersect; large and small, light and heavy, full and empty change places and generate objects that demand, when they are encountered, a suspension of preconceptions that are based in the experience of what is already known”.
Segments of Light are attractive and desirable objects evoking the inner harmony with the universe.
Elisabetta Cipriani will be also showing works by Adel Abdessemed, Jannis Kounellis, Ifeanyi Oganwu, Giulio Paolini, Frank Stella, Ai Weiwei and Erwin Wurm amongst others, as well as fabulous furniture by the Campana Brothers.About Giorgio Vigna
Giorgio Vigna was born in Verona in 1955. He received his artistic training between his hometown, Venice, Rome and Milan, where he currently lives and works.
An artist operating at the boundaries between reality and imagination, Vigna explores the line between what is and what appears to be. His works, which spam from sculpture to jewelry and from works on paper to site specific installations, reflect the breadth and depth of his constant research.
