Flatland is keen on participating at Code Art Fair, the annually held contemporary art fair based in Copenhagen. The gallery will show for the first time large work by British artist Alice Browne. Drawing on an expanse of influences and materials, Browne’s painted works – in a fresh colour palette of neon blues and pinks to all sorts of pastel, and blues – describe obscure imaginative spaces, which simultaneously appear to adhere to the rules of gravity and perspective whilst outwardly ignoring them. From the succesful Israeli artist Guy Yanai the gallery is hyper pleased to bring works of the artist that he did in the summer of 2018. With his strong horizontal stripes of pigment Yanai feeds on contemporary issues. From the great story teller Paolo Ventura, who has a solo show in the gallery just after Code, an interpretation of life in the city will be given in his famous mixed media techniques of maquettes, painting and photography. From upcoming Greek artist Stelios Karamanolis, filosophy and poetry will be united in his light canvases, full of meaning and presence.
Quote from Larry’s List, “there are top galleries from around the world, a mixture of Scandinavian and international artists and fantastically curated group exhibitions”. Code is hosted at Bella Center, Scandinavia’s largest exhibition centre.
