Alessandro Bulgini creates at VOLUME! a black and white installation called Hairekitos, made of lights and shadows without gradation. In this case, the artist materializes his view of world into a two-party space, completely changing the place. In this way, he transforms the concept of exposition, related with the ideas of visible/invisible and inside/outside, into a real life’s experience. He modifies the entrance into a noble room with an elegant chandelier and four light tubes located strategically in the vault’s corners. Then, on the other side of the entrance, the viewer finds a completely different area. While the first place has a clear and given layout, the second one is completely dark and disoriented. In the second room, painted with black color, the viewer discovers three Bulgini’s paintings. The mystery of the artist’s work is the key to find again the time we lost and understand the truth. According to the artist, you can only find the truth in the darkness, in which people cannot confuse it with a false evidence.
