On Tuesday the 3th of June 2008 Fondazione Volume! presents the installation the Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto has conceived properly for the space of the gallery starting from the essential elements of his work: the uprightness of space, the reference to sensory elements, the practicability of space. The Neto installations are marked by the sensual possibility of modifying the space through elements of different materials in order to upset the space itself. His installations develop through the space and contain it with soft, coloured, biomorphic sculptures which make reference to the senses (sometimes to smell also) and which fill the exhibition-place including in it the physical and sensory presence of the spectator. For Volume! Neto has conceived an elementary installation which fills 1/3 of the volume(!) of the gallery with texture, gravel and others natural elements. Through a mobile, soft and amusing path which leads the spectator to rethink the primary values - equilibrium, consistency and irony.
