The work of Jannis Kounellis suggestively joins the Pirri one. He creates a little private space. Inside a narrow passage between two rooms of the gallery a young naked and pregnant woman is sitting on a high stool. An oil lamp palely enlights the profile of her naked body. The woman will be later substituted by two old wardrobes with mirrored shutters, hanging from the ceiling. The measures of this micro-private space recalling the human body’s ones and the centrality of man in the tragedy of life. The puiblic feels the real presence of the woman, in one of the most sweet and misterious moments of her biological nature. The woman profile and the two wardrobes design a new geometry, a void and a full into the eternal exchange between body and matter, representationa nd reality, control and tension.
