Marina Abramovic - Student's Bodies

Marina Abramovic fills the space of VOLUME! with the result of the workshop she held at the school in Braunschweig Germany with a performance session staring seven of her students. As a pioneer for performance art, the artist investigates the physical limitation of the body and the potential of the mind through performance. Her young students participate in different performance that relate to the space of VOLUME! interpreting the structure, while also creating a direct dialogue with its energy and its memory as witness to past artist’s creative interventions. Each performance deals directly with themes of self-control, concentration, stamina and willpower.
