OF WOMEN by Latin American & European Masters.
Ford Fine Art will highlight WOMEN as the subject of all the artwork they are presenting this year at ArtSpot in the Spectrum Miami Art Show: paintings, sculptures, drawings and graphics. The exhibit is full of comparisons of early European genre paintings and portraits with those of Latin American artworks.
The gentle interior of women conversing by Edouard Vuillard is beside the animated watercolor of women selling pottery by Francisco Zúñiga.
The pen and ink drawings of nudes by Jules Pascin and George Grosz are alongside the drawings and paintings of nudes by Benjamin Cañas.
The thin bronze ballet dancer by Boukaulshalkov faces the full onyx figure by Felipe Castaneda.
A portrait by Jean Dufy looks at a face by Carlos Cañas. The show honors women with children, women at work, at leisure, sitting, standing, looking out a window, only women…no men allowed.
Other masters featured are Andre Derain, Armando Morales, Rudolfo Abularach, Guillermo Trujillo, Elmar Rojas, Rafa Fernandez, Gustavo Montoya, Benigno Gomez, Siqueiros, Jose Cuevas, Sofia Bassi, Luis Martinez Pedro, Julio Zachrisson and contemporary masters Denis Nuñez, Marcia Salas, Enar Cruz, Alejandro Villalobos and Vladamir Cora.
