Still Life: Luxury and Restraint. The exhibition includes three superb still lifes from a single decade, the 1640's. The Dutch Golden Age is represented by a large 1644 panel by Willem Claesz. Heda. Heda, who worked in Haarlem and a 1649 still life by Simon Luttichuys, who worked in Amsterdam. The Italian Baroque Still Life of a Carpet was painted around 1648 in Rome by Francisco Noletti, who came from Malta.
