This exhibit marks our second solo show with Seattle artist Linda Davidson. In this body of work, Everyday Skies, a series of large panels, 60 x 48 inches each, will run the length of the gallery. Often working in large installations, Linda creates works that come together to fill a space in an abstract or narrative scene. These paintings can stand alone, or can be grouped in larger installations. While Linda is interested in creating narrative and allowing the viewer to imagine their own, her work is also about the surfaces and materiality of her medium.
Linda received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, and has exhibited extensively in the northwest. Her paintings are in the collections of the University of Washington Medical Center, King County Portable Works, Harborview Medical Center, Swedish Hospital, and Inslee Best Dozier Ryder. She has taught at Cornish College for the Arts, and The School of Visual Concepts. Linda has participated in the annual Duwamish Summer Residency for the past 6 years (2012-2016). She lives and works in Seattle, WA, along with her husband.
