Tshopp's work makes numerous references to geometric shapes and their development in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional space. Her use of flat surfaces, geometric shapes and found objects bring new perspectives to achieve three-dimensionality. Leila Tschopp was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1978. In 2002, she graduated from the National School of Fine Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredón. She has participated in several international residences, such as: Art Omi, New York, United States (2015); Residency Program for Creators of Latin America and Haiti of FONCA-AECID, Mexico (2014); Skowhegan, Maine, United States (2013), with the support of the Cisneros Collection; 18th Street Art Center, Santa Monica, United States, with the support of Unesco-Aschberg Bursaries (2011) and ACC Galerie, Weimar, Germany (2010).
