YIA Art Fair #08 Maastricht 2017

For her first edition in Maastricht, the contemporary international art fair YIA Art Fair will take place at the exhibition venue Gebouw M – Tapijnkazerne, located in the city center only 5 minutes from the famous TEFAF.

From 09 to 13 March, 2017 the 1 000 m2 of exhibition space will host a selection of 28 curatorial projects proposed by excellent international galleries. In parallel, for her cultural Hors Les Murs program YIA Art Fair will invest in the Wiebengahal, annex of the contemporary art museum - Bonnefanten Museum - with a VIP program consisting of guided tours and private events.

Founded in Paris in 2010 by Romain Tichit, YIA Art Fair (Young International Art Fair) already had six Parisian editions and one in Brussels. Following the success of the last edition at the Carreau du Temple in Paris, gathering 65 galleries from 20 countries, YIA Art Fair wishes to continue her international expansion in Maastricht and Basel.

It is on the occasion of the 25 years of the Maastricht treaty, a strong political symbol of cooperation between the countries of the European Union, that YIA will establish in Maastricht in the heart of the European continent.

In this context, the exchange between national and foreign professional actors is reflected in the eclecticism of the fairs program, which highlights the contemporary artistic scene.
