Julia Dault‘s sculptures and paintings have made waves and continue to attract a great deal of attention on the international art scene. Dault creates her sculptural works on site: panels of plexiglass and formica bend and fold to create undulating abstract forms
that appear ready to burst or collapse at any moment. The sculptures, much like Dault‘s paintings, document her physical engagement with her materials. Her painterly compositions
are created by stripping, carving and peeling away. The result is a fascinating interplay of swooping lines and a vibrant, shimmering surface.
