Galerie Catherine et André Hug chose to show 3 porfolios : 1) Hope from Kourtney Roy a portfolio of 12 photos taken in and around small Canadian towns in the regions where Roy spent her childhood. Within these familiar urban and rural locales she utilizes the self to engage the body’s capacity for improvisation and performance in order to create strange and unexpected disturbances within otherwise banal scenes 2) Datazone from Philippe Chancel a portfolio in progress composed by 14 photos made through many territories that are emblematic of the challenges of our societies, Datazone explores the complexity of these landscapes and gives them a photographic consistency that does not exclude any subject. 3) Prince street Girls from Susan Meiselas is a series of 12 silver prints.
