Jean-Christophe Ballot spent the summer of 2006 in Indonesia taking photographs of the Toraja people’s funeral rites on the island of Sulawesi. Their ancesters lead us into a celestial dream. An opportunity for reflection on a theme of western history of art – vanitas. ABBA
