Her work already adorns the streets and underpasses of London as well as the houses of many stars. VIPs like Kanye West, Rihanna, Robbie Williams and Brad Pitt belong to her fan community, some of them have had themselves or family members portrayed by her, or even have a real "Bambi" at home. As with her male counterpart Banksy, her identity remains a well-kept secret. Bambi has been trying to maintain her anonymity ever since she first attracted public attention in 2011 with her striking portrait of the late Amy Winehouse at an entrance in Camden Town.
"I discovered the artist in London“, recalls Dirk G. Kronsbein, „The enormously positive response to the Banksy exhibition - we had well over 3,500 visitors from all over the world - as well as to the exhibition of works by the pioneer of urban art, Blek le Rat, was one more reason to take up the theme of this emerging and increasingly influential art movement.“
Who's Bambi? Many people suspect the British music superstar Adele ("Hello; Rolling in the Deep") behind it. Bambi revealed in one of her rare interviews that she had a prominent career in the music business as a popular singer. But that is not confirmed: She says that she must keep her identity secret in order to travel the streets of London undisturbed and thus pursue her artistic work. Dirk G. Kronsbein: "The fact that the artist's identity is a secret makes it all the more exciting."
