The Galerie Philippe Gravier, show OWAN by Kengo Kuma, a project between Architecture and Landscape for Design At Large and a solo show of Claude Parent, for the first time in Design Miami/ Basel 2016, based on his experimental work : FONCTION OBLIQUE.
The Galerie Philippe Gravier present two projects : OWAN for Design At Large and a Solo Show of Claude Parent - Booth G26.
KENGO KUMA reveals at Art/Basel 2016 OWAN, a reply to the Galerie Philippe Gravier “Small Nomad House Project”, embodying the ambition to initiate a new concept between Art and Architecture. Nomadic, removable and sustainable, Owan’s zigzag shape merges the interior and the exterior space. Authentic “Bijou” or “Folly”, Owan introduces a rhythm and a variety of spatial experiences. The shell has an unclear edge and merges the metal with the natural environment. A waterproof membrane is installed inside the metal shell. Upon application of heat, the memory alloy automatically bends to its manipulated position. Owan is at the edge of both technical and esthetic innovation, embodying a “Rurban Revolution”. A wooden base, with terrace, should be installed all around Owan.
CLAUDE PARENT drew in 2010, 5 elements of architecture, a unique project for the Galerie Philippe Gravier and based on his experimental work : FONCTION OBLIQUE. Great visionary, adulation of his peers, a Solo Project, exclusively and for the first time in Design Miami/ Basel 2016, willl present all these 5 elements of architecture, reflection of his universe.
