Liu Yujie & Xi Danni - Chinese Experience

Gallery SOON is very pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition „Liu Yujie & Xi Danni – Chinese Experience“ featuring two emerging Chinese artists. The exhibition will take place from January 11th until February 17, 2018.

Liu Yujie & Xi Danni graduated at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing and could both attire already the focus of great Chinese curators like Feng Boyi. Theirs painting is representationally, however both use different ways to do so: while Liu Yujie works in way that focuses increasingly on traditional Chinese painting, whereas Xi Danni seizes on still life representations of modern China.
After numerous exhibitions in China and exhibition-participations i.a. in USA, Germany, Finland and Japan the artists show their works in Switzerland for the first time now. With it they give insights into the impressive young art scene in China.

With the exhibition „Liu Yujie & Xi Danni – Chinese Experience“ Gallery SOON is showing two strong positions of contemporary Chinese art – discoveries the two gallerists made during atelier visits in Beijing in spring 2017.
