Founded in Paris by Valerie-Anne Giscard d'Estaing in 2007, Photo12 Galerie was specialized in Photography, representing mostly black-and-white French Photographers. Since that time, photography has entered in the digital age and has evolved considerably. Most artists nowadays use mixed techniques. The gallery's editorial line reflects that evolution and now includes mostly contemporaty figurative artists of the pictorialist movement.
