Blaine is a "total poet"because his activity is not limited to poetry, even in all its possible experimental declinations: concrete, visual, sonorous, performative, elementary, object, action, etc. but it invests all aspects of creativity with its poetic power, firmly rejecting limitations and categorisations. Poetry (art) is above all action, it can be found everywhere: along the streets, on the walls, it can be found in the street signs, the object of various interventions. In Blaine's poetics there is no form of passivity. There is no trace of contemplation, meditation but only of action, action, action. The poet must act. But not for moral or political commitment, mind you. The poet must act for survival.
