In the shadow of the Seiser Alm in Molignon, in the heart of the Dolomites near Val Gardena, two men explore the area in search of rocks and mineral formations that might uncover the millennial history of those silent and imposing mountains. When, along their path, they notice an interlacing of veins inside a recess in the rock face, they take their tools, insert them into a small fissure in the rock and begin to work their way through it slowly, millimetre by millimetre.
