A contemporary art gallery introducing artists who belong to Social Welfare Foundation SOOHKAI, Atelier Incurve. For the first participation in Art Stage Singapore, We will exhibit works of Katsuhiro Terao who creates the monochrome world with his motif, iron.
Katsuhiro Terao 寺尾 勝広 Born in 1960, Terao worked as a welder for 20 years at his father's ironworks. Everything he sees is converted into an iron structure in his mind. His drawings, which he calls "Plans," are filled with pillar lines and welding symbols. He has been in practice more than 15 years with a focus on current practices - iron plans and three-dimentional works. And he has belonged to gallery incurve kyoto since 2010 when the gallery started to present. He was born and is currently based in Osaka, Japan. Terao has intellectual impairment, and belongs to the non-profit Social Welfare Foundation SOOHKAI, atelier incurve. His exhibitions are frequently held at overseas galleries e.g. New York, London and Paris and at art museums in Japan. http://g-incurve.jp
