Grotto Fine Art proudly presents the third solo exhibition of one of Hong Kong's leading artists, Kan Kit-keung. Kan has concentrated on the depiction of moving water, surging waves and tremendous waterfall are often his motives. In face of gigantic waterfalls, Kan could see paintings from every part and every corner of the falls ranging from the whole turbulence to sprinkles of splashing water drops, thus making his motif fresh and complicated. Throughout the many years of observation, Kan discovers the varying rhythms of water and represents them through multifarious layers of ink and watercolour. Thousand Layers features Kan’s latest depiction of Potomac River and its subsequent essence.
