Established in 1884, and now directed by Martin Levy, representing the fourth generation of this family-run business, dealing primarily in nineteenth- and early twentieth-century furniture and works of art.
Blairman’s stand for Masterpiece 2020 was planned around two themes: masterworks from the English Regency period, and English and Continental design from the later nineteenth century.
From the Regency period, highlights include furniture designed by Thomas Hope (1769-1831), furniture from the collection of William Beckford (1760-1844) and metalwork manufactured by Benjamin Vulliamy (1747-1811) or his son Benjamin Lewis Vulliamy (1780-1854). From the later nineteenth century, there is a table designed by Philip Webb (1831-1915), a fire screen designed by Owen Jones (1809-74)) and metalwork designed by Dr Christopher Dresser (1834-1904).
Our collection will now be available for inspection, by appointment, at 15 Queen Anne’s Gate, London, SW1H 9BU. For further information, please contact us on +44 (0)20 7493 0444, or by email [email protected]
