Guest-curated by the Hal Bromm Gallery, this show at the Hotel Fauchere in Milford, Pa., is a group exhibition featuring several en plein air artists and their representational works of winter scenes in Pennsylvania, Maine, New York State and beyond.
“SNOW”, a group exhibition of winter landscape works, will be presented at the Hotel Fauchere in Milford, Pennsylvania on 18 November 2018 with an artists’ reception from 4 -6 pm. Featuring works by eight en plein air artists, the exhibition presents representational works of scenes from the Delaware Water Gap and Kittatinny Ridge region of New Jersey to Pennsylvania, New York State, Maine and beyond. The artists – many of whom are friends who have exhibited together throughout the tri-state area - include Rita Baragona, Lois Dodd, Tom Keough, Barbara Kulicke, Arthur Kvarnstrom, Simeon Lagodich, Ken Metcalf, and St. Clair Sullivan. SNOW is curated by New York gallerist Hal Bromm, whose space was the first contemporary gallery in Tribeca founded in 1975. The exhibition will remain on view through 31 March 2019.
Works in a variety of media will be on view in SNOW, including oil on canvas, acrylic on canvas, watercolor and pastel. The artists’ works focus on the beauty of the natural world and the grace that comes with the first snow fall of the season. The exhibition captures the change and excitement of Winter to come, inviting us to consider nature’s beauty as the seasons shift.
