Jim Dine began his charmed career in 1960 with his first New York show. Over four decades, Dine has produced more than three thousand paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints, as well as performance works, stage and book designs, poetry and even music. Everyone easily understands his repetition of familiar and simple images, yet they suggest deeper layers of meaning specific to each individual.
