Craig Yu (*1978) is an artist, whose current body of work develops against the background of the mass media image that today essentially influences the optical impression and the collective memory. Within this context, Yu is mainly interested in the conscious and unconscious manipulation of perception, which he investigates by adopting post minimal strategies such as Concept Art or »Process Art«. Thus his drawings and paintings fathom the limits of representational depiction just as those of abstraction.
