Max Pellegrini, born in 1945 in Turin, emerged as an outsider, making paintings that follow his own personal path. Teetering on Surrealism, he infuses his work with symbolism drawn from Italian poetry, classical literature, and art history — from the Renaissance to Postmodernism.
