Peopled Places

From lush illustrations of flora and fauna to the depictions of society, cities, and humanity’s kinship with the natural world, ‘Peopled Places’ reflects on the ways in which we interact with, struggle against, and find inspiration in the places around us, both real and imagined.

With numerous examples of work from each artist, Peopled Places presents a variety of unique artistic perspectives on the complex connections humanity forms with natural and artificial worlds. The work ranges from lighthearted meditations on landscapes and architecture to portrayals of wildlife and technology, gentrification and immigration. The shared overlap of illustrative aesthetics bridges the gaps between the various approaches to the theme and results in an exhibit that is vibrant and introspective.
