Ronit Porat followed Miss Lieschen Neumann, a beautiful sixteen-year-old girl sentenced to jail in 1931 Berlin for the murder of Mr. Fritz Ulbrich. Ulbrich, a watchmaker, had turned his backroom office into a pornographic photography studio, where he took erotic photos of young girls, Neumann among them. Ronit Porat followed Miss Lieschen Neumann, a beautiful sixteen-year-old girl sentenced to jail in 1931 Berlin for the murder of Mr. Fritz Ulbrich. Ulbrich, a watchmaker, had turned his backroom office into a pornographic photography studio, where he took erotic photos of young girls, Neumann among them. In this story Porat stresses a twofold perspective – man and woman, victimizer and victim, photographer and model. Two parallel narratives are presented in the exhibition.
