NEW YORK – Two exhibitions, Staff Picks VI and Street Style, are on view this summer at Howard Greenberg Gallery from July 13 through August 25, 2017.
Staff Picks VI presents nearly 100 images selected from Howard Greenberg Gallery’s collection of over 30,000 photographs. The gallery staff, comprised of 17 individuals with a wide range of experience in photography, all share a bond in their unwavering appreciation of the medium. Photographs on view showcase 46 artists including Berenice Abbott, Bill Burke, Bruce Davidson, Lee Friedlander, Dave Heath, Imre Kinszki, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Danny Lyon, Alex Majoli, Joel Meyerowitz, Sarah Moon, Marvin Newman, Jaroslav Rossler, Peter Sekaer, and Edward Weston.
From the sidewalks of Hong Kong to the subway platforms of New York and the alleyways of Yemen, Street Style celebrates chance public encounters and surprisingly poetic moments. With more than 20 works from 14 photographers, the exhibition includes images by Richard Avedon, Frédéric Brenner, Allen Ginsberg, William Klein, Peter Lindbergh, Frances McLaughlin-Gill, Gordon Parks, Marc Riboud, and Ed van der Elsken.
