Barbier presents a new series entitled Naufrages. Inspired by Homer's Odyssey, a long journey of initiation, the artist portrays the social and political instability and shipwrecks of today's world. Nature, a cause dear to the artist, is at the center of this series, which features a huge five-meter beached whale. Once again, Barbier brings to light a nature that is as breathtaking as it is vulnerable and fragile.
