Museum of American Art, Miami-based Superfine! The Fairest Fair has chosen the first week of May to host its first NYC edition. The fair, which promotes accessibility and art collecting among a young professional demographic, will occupy a multilevel location at 459 West 14th Street managed by Jamestown Properties, the neighborhood-building team behind Chelsea Market and Brooklyn's Industry City. Superfine! NYC will host 42 international exhibitors including 19 galleries and curatorial collectives alongside 23 independent artist positions. Artwork pricing caps out at $10,000, with over 70% of the works on display priced below $5,000 and every exhibitor mandated to feature at least one work under $1,000, a strategy designed to embolden young collectors while encouraging established collectors to explore new artists.
