Hutson Gallery is proud to present A Walk in the Dunes, an exhibition of paintings by Joe Trepiccione. This body of work, inspired by the Outer Cape landscapes, focuses particularly on the Provincetown Dunes. These dunes are an ever-changing landscape. They vary constantly as sunlight casts its shadows, both long and short, as their colors morph from hot to cool, and their vegetation from dense to sparse. They may be battered by the wind or gently nudged as they shift from season to season. Each dune has its own personality, sliding across horizons, constructing hills or digging valleys. They change as a cool tide creeps over a warm sandy marsh, or as the late afternoon sun sets and a cool blue shadow appears on a Beech Forest Hillside. Full of change, full of the unexpected.
