Press Release

INCEPTION GALLERY PRESENTS TORUS BY DAVID HARBER
Born in London in 1956, David Harber is inspired by the interaction between the light, the landscape
and the water. The three-dimensional creation enables him to create the illusion. Harber’s works are
present in numerous private collections.
In 2016 the artist received the Queen’s Award for International Trade.
It is the highest honor that can be bestowed to a successful UK company.
The polished stainless steel allows the sculpture to capture the natural light. Thus, the work is
modified in accordance with the weather and the seasons.
The three-dimensional sculptures mirror their environment and provide a new and enchanting
experience for the senses.
With Torus, Harber exploits the optical qualities of stainless steel that enables to reflect space and
light.
This creates a real interaction between the materials and the visible world around.
David Harber explores the ancient civilizations’ creations and takes inspiration from them. Using
high quality products, he creates simple and refined shapes that reflect light and water.
Science, beauty and elegance coalesce in these sculptures.
“My works are very personal, and many of them are tailor-made.”
They are often chosen to celebrate an important event. Their quality guarantees the durability. Torus
challenges the viewer’s perception by the way it reflects the space.
On three occasions Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth unveiled the artworks.
Torus is available in different versions and sizes.
