The INDA Gallery, the third-time participant of Art Dubai, representing Gigi Scaria (India), Matthias van Arkel (Sweden), Marianne Csáky (Hungary) and Zsófia Schwéger (Hungary) in this year at the fair.
Representing three countries, Sweden, India and Hungary, all the four artists in INDA Gallery's booth are characterised by the masterly use of their media in the constant development of their signature visual language to find concrete expression to abstract ideas and emotions.
While Matthias van Arkel (Sweden) experiments with the cross-over potentials of painting and sculpture, Gigi Scaria (India) creates a unique world of utopistic images in paintings, sculpture and video, or, sometimes contrary: in very clear and concrete images. Marianne Csáky's (Hungary, Belgium) works presented in Dubai venture to establish formal links between moving images and stills with an aim to cross the limits of time and space, history and geography. here, the situations can be very personal and emotional - but with universal relevance and appeal. While still remaining on this side of figurativeness, young but already broadly recognised talent Zsófia Schwéger (Hungary, United Kingdom) paintings reduce or abstract everyday places and spaces to a minimalistic manner of presentation. What also unites these four artists working in various media is a very high visual quality and meticulous execution.
