JOIA BRASIL was created by curator Anna Clara Hermann to promote Brazilian jewelry. Anna Clara believes design is a key element of fashion, beauty, art, and business, and each JOIA BRASIL event seeks to strengthen this philosophy.
In 2014 JOIA BRASIL celebrated 12 years at the annual Rio Fashion Week, having organized 10 international shows, Liberty in London, Birks in Toronto and Montreal, Printemps in Paris, Palm Beach, and three events in Los Angeles and New York.
Since 2009, Anna Clara is the curator of the Joia da Casa, a project for the Casa Cor Rio de Janeiro. In 2013, she created the JoiArt, another project for jewelers, with a second annual exhibition at the Fashion Mall .
This year, for the first time, JOIA BRASIL will participate in the IDA/ArtRio 2015, featuring the designers Anna Vivacqua, Bia Vasconcellos, Francisca Bastos, Gianfranco Cacciola, Isabella Escudero, Joya, Leilah Costa, Lidice Caldas, Lucia Lima, Luisa Schröder, Nelusha Araujo, Nely Mazorra, Rose Carvalho, Voya, and Yara Figueiredo.
