An investigation of contradictions creates the basis of my artworks - complex, mystical realism. The result: complex paintings investigating and contrasting realism-versus-surrealism, organic juxtaposed with abstract visual concepts. Themes include dream-like metaphors of hurdles, which convey the artwork’s’ “story” of introspection, reflection and hope, on the part of artist and viewer.
Kim Chasen's beautiful textured abstract paintings. In her new series the palette has shifted to black, gray, and the work goes from subtle to bold forms.
Brian Leatart's large scale color photographic montage & portraits.
Doug Dolde's photography with a twist: reality based landscape using distortion filters.
Frederick Fulmer uses photo transfers & assemblage to offer reflections on cultural topics.
Marcia Geiger's oil paintings share her love of the Mojave Desert motif.
Paul Morehead strives to convey the power, serenity, deep beauty and surprising details of the natural world around us and the creative world within us. "It’s my hope that this work may help expand your appreciation, curiosity and understanding of our place on this planet."
Jason Graves's meditation on the figure as a starting point and lets free association guide the brush. " My hope is that the image will bring a daydream to the viewer."
Mardi de Veuve Alexis multi layered large scale abstract paintings created with explosive color and social meaning on today's world.
