The series Beschriftungen is based on the preliminary cleaning on trains in order to expose safety-relevant safety-relevant lettering on the vehicles again. In Furger’s long lasting observations he noticed that safety-relevant lettering is usually cleaned lang before the train car is thoroughly cleaned. These art works juxtapose the corporate font and the buffed graffiti. One of them seems clean and institutional and the other one, soft and muddy.
