Konstantin Batynkov sees the Kremlin in his unique way: view from the outside, absolutizing everything secret and intimate inside this captivating fortress, sacral space at the heart of modern grown-up city.
The “Kremlin” exhibition contains approximately twenty large-sized acrylic paintings. Once again Konstantin Batynkov shows his unique image not only of this historical place, but also of the essential center of the visible and invisible accidents, where the line between reality and fantasy is almost erased. Once again Batynkov tries to ‘boil the ocean’, to embrace the symbolism of the place, its traditional content: religious, dominative and architectural. As always everything is made honestly, but it is so similar to the childhood imagination, from where the artist can never escape.
