The work of Bernadette Chéné, made of materials as simple as raw wood or newsprint, is in keeping up with the research of certain avant-gardes of the second half of the twentieth century from the minimal art to the arte povera . It creates a very personal relationship to space from its raw materials on which she intervenes, often in situ, with poetic sensitivity not without power.
