Charlotte, North Carolina – Latin American Contemporary Art (LaCa) Projects is pleased to announce its participation in CONTEXT Art Miami 2016, Art Miami’s sister fair taking place November 29 – December 4. The fair occurs simultaneously and in very close proximity to Art Miami and Aqua Art Miami, thus contributing to a comprehensive representation of the international contemporary art community.
CONTEXT Miami has become a hub from which collectors, curators, artists, connoisseurs and designers derive inspiration and build collections. Every year, numerous attendees are exposed to the works of talented emerging and mid-career artists represented by esteemed galleries. Selected by the fair’s discerning advisory committee to be included in an extensive platform of influential art, LaCa Projects is excited to promote its social and artistic values in CONTEXT’s diverse environment.
CONTEXT Miami is the third national art fair to which LaCa Projects has applied and been accepted. The gallery’s increased involvement in such events is testament to the high caliber of its collection and exhibitions. LaCa Projects gained momentum presenting at SCOPE Miami 2015 and CONTEXT New York 2016.
LaCa Projects will feature artists Juan Dolhare and Santiago Quesnel of Argentina, and Carlos Estévez of Cuba, at CONTEXT Miami. For more information on each of these artists, visit www.lacaprojects.com or the exhibitor page of www.contextartmiami.com.
LaCa Projects, founded in March 2013, is the first platform in the Southeast dedicated solely to the presentation, development and promotion of Latin American contemporary art and culture in the United States. The gallery uses work made by select established and Master artists to motivate a cross-cultural dialogue that exposes the oft-overlooked talent, and exemplifies Latin America’s ongoing impression on the trajectory of the international art community. This agenda is reinforced by LaCa Projects’ steadily growing international residency program through which artists are able to produce solo and collective projects, sharing their art with the broader community, and generating interdisciplinary and conceptual works that can be used for programs, fairs and exhibitions.
A VIP Preview will kick off CONTEXT Miami on Tuesday, November 29, before The Art Miami opening. The fair will be open to the general public November 30 – 4. Contact Neely Verano at firstname.lastname@example.org or 704.837.1688 to arrange interviews or request images of works of featured artists.
