Whilst aesthetically complimentary, both artists examine and explore the origins of their practice’s through disguising their source material within new compositions. Both artists simultaneously pay homage to traditional techniques whilst enabling a sense of contemporaneity through the viewers engagement. The viewer is then challenged to decipher the origins of each work which expands beyond the source material(s), encapsulating the newly composed imagery. This inspires the creation of new functions and meanings.
